The Kootenay-Columbia Discovery Centre Society (KCDCS) is excited to offer environmental educational programming at the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area (CVWMA) in 2018 (and beyond!)! The CVWMA ceased operating the Wildlife Centre in October of 2017 and KCDCS has taken over delivering the well established and popular educational programming that people have come to love and respect!
KCDCS has built a temporary “Nature Centre” located in the parking lot of the Wildlife Centre. It has displays and information, science equipment, kids activity zone and a small gift shop to complement our programs. There are portable washroom facilities as well. The Wildlife Centre itself will be closed (due to safety and health concerns, it will not reopen), but at this point we can use the covered picnic area, lower decks and canoe docks! With this new infrastructure set up, we can offer programming that is fun, memorable and enjoyable!
Come and visit us! Join us for a variety of programs, events and tours throught the spring and summer! Navigate through the Education drop down tab at the top of the website for more information on programs.
